Where do you pin down a car like this 1963 Oldsmobile Starfire? The jet age connotations were all the rage of the prior decade, and against the muscle cars of the later decade, this Starfire comes off as a little more adult. Instead, it has a style and presence all its own, enhanced by the excellent restoration of this example. From the sellers description:

Very low mileage, highly original, superb condition example. Number matching 394 ci/345hp ultra-high compression, high performance, V8 engine original to this car and Hyrda-Matic Drive automatic transmission. This car has all its sheet metal, floors, and trunk intact even the interior and the carpets are original, as are the color-coordinated deluxe hubcaps. The chrome, stainless and pot metal, usually pitted, dented or rusted on these cars, is in excellent original condition. The engine, trunk and undercarriage are detailed. The mileage is a true 56k, and the car is fully documented with its original Bill of Sale, Owners and Shop Manuals, and a full assortment of original GM literature. Its rarity, provenance and condition make this a true collector quality example. Regular maintenance to keep it running as new includes a new full factory-style exhaust system and correct width white wall tires. This car is equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Super Deluxe Signal Seek AM Radio, Front and Rear Speakers, Original Seat Belts, etc. It was professionally repainted once in the correct Royal Mist factory color (a deep red metallic) over its original a metallic red interior, equipped with a center console with working tach. (Everything else works on the car, too.) Starfires are very expensive to restore, so finding one in such exceptional, original condition is a unique opportunity, indeed.
