Meet the Master Collectors: those dedicated enthusiasts whose passion for cars knows no bounds. Beginning Saturday, September 7 ACM will feature the collection of Ken and Patty McBride.
The graceful curves of the Bugatti Type 57. The opulence and power of the Mercedes Benz 500k. The single-minded racing focus of the Ferrari 250 GTO or the Shelby Daytona Coupe. These are not just cars: they are milestones of ingenuity, engineering, and beauty. That these and other important automobiles survive to be viewed and enjoyed today is the work of a dedicated group of collectors whose passion knows no bounds. They spend years tracking down a single car—or even a single part. They take their priceless cars on the road and racetrack. These distinguished individuals play a key role in preserving, restoring, and sharing the world’s automotive heritage with the public. In this exhibit, America’s Car Museum celebrates the contributions of those who can only be called master collectors.
