If Cars Could Talk: Adult Brown Bag Lunch Series

June 3, 2014 11:30am-12:30pm

There are many chapters to the story of the automobile. If cars could talk, they might just share stories we never imagined.

Each month, our speaker will pick a car and offer a fascinating peek into its history. Join us the first Tuesday of each month, and explore the story of cars with Museum curators, staff, or local personalities over lunch.

Join us June 3, 2014 for Stories from Jim Culp, Docent and Museum Educator as he discusses microcars.

A microcar is the smallest classification of car you can get. In the US a microcar is generally defined as a car with an engine size of less than 1000 cubic centimeters or 61 cubic inches (unless it's electric). In Britain they're often called "bubble cars" and in Japan they're "kei cars". In many countries, microcars aren't legally considered cars but are rather motorcycles with roofs.
