I am delighted to support the rich cultural, educational, and economic opportunities that the LeMay Museum-America's Car Museum will add to the South Puget Sound region.
The plans for the new location are truly amazing and will allow even more visitors to be educated about the vital role automobiles have played in our shared heritage. Anyone who still thinks back fondly on their first car will be thrilled to remember the good times with a visit to this world-class facility. The new museum will serve as an exciting attraction and educational center while simultaneously commeorating the life of Harold LeMay, whose generous spirit and ingenuity enriches Washington to this day.
The LeMay collection has been called a national treasure, and for years, Harold, his wife Nancy, and their family annually hosted the public viewings and car shows at their property. It is through their dedication and commitment to public service that those simple beginnings will culminate in the largest car museum in the world.
I have no doubt that the LeMay Museum-America's Car Museum will be appreciated and enjoyed by car enthusiasts for years to come, and I wish you all the best for a successful and bright future.
