Educator Workshops

Come see how the world of automobiles opens doors to learning. Each Educator Workshop will provide an in-depth look at curriculum for your classroom (K-12) to create meaningful connections for students. Earn clock hours as you tailor lessons to meet the needs of your students and walk away with materials to immediately implement in your school.

Route 66: Dream of the Mother Road
Saturday, September 20, 1-4pm
Explore the social studies and language arts connections that can be made through our Route 66 exhibit. Take an in-depth tour, hear guest speakers, and learn about our corresponding curriculum guide.


Members: $25
Future Members: $30

Price includes return museum visit, curriculum materials, fee for 3 clock hours, and light refreshments.

Educator Night at the Museum

Hosted by LeMay -- America's Car Museum
Thursday, October 2, 2014, 5:30-8:00 pm

Each October, one of Tacoma's downtown museums hosts this annual community collaboration. Enjoy complimentary refreshments as you peruse booths hosted by the area's arts, history, science, and cultural organizations. Learn about ways to enhance your current curriculum and enter a raffle to win fabulous prizes and educational opportunities from participating organizations and local community supporters.
