The Avanti 1001's Fuel Pump- After

Avanti 1001 R1 Engine completed!  Why is the supercharger not Orange? Our research has discovered that the first Avanti’s were a little different in a few areas and the Supercharger was one of them. Most Superchargers were orange when new, and painted black whenever Paxton rebuilt them, however Gary Johnson and others have found the very early ones and prototypes were painted black, including Dave Kenny's #1002 that was at Amelia Island Concours and won best in class. It also has a different filler tube height and number stamped into it.
