1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport

When General Motors decided to develop a model to go head to head against the popular Ford Thunderbird, GM's chief stylist Bill Mitchell wanted the car to "look like a Rolls-Royce with the flavor of a Ferrari". The result was the 1963-1965 Buick Riviera and it is a styling milestone.
The Gran Sport Riviera came equipped with the 465 Super Wildcat 425 cu.in engine. There were just over 3,000 Buick Rivera Gran Sports produced. Luxury styling combined with muscle car performance, the 1965 Buick Riviera GS is one most coveted cars of the 1960s.
